Role Overview
- Represents Collins Aerospace on internal and external USG legal issues
- Acts as a strategic business partner to review, draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide variety of government agreements
- Assists with managing and resolving contract disputes, bid protests, equitable adjustments, and breach of contract claims
- Interprets complex laws, rulings, and regulations and provides expertise on legal issues to ensure compliance
- Aids in the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and metrics to increase the overall effectiveness of the legal services provided to the company
- Provides guidance on cost accounting issues
Requirements
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience
- Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited institution
- Admission to the bar of at least 1 US state with the ability to be admitted as In-House Counsel
- 5+ years experience with USG contracts law
