Role Overview
- Negotiate and draft acquisition, co-production, co-finance, output and first-look agreements
- Review, analyze and comment on rights agreements and related delivery documentation
- Interact and advise strategic business and planning teams to facilitate the acquisition process
- Analyze legal risks and develop solutions to mitigate potential challenges
- Perform other day-to-day business affairs-related and legal tasks as needed
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of entertainment and intellectual property law
- Strong and effective negotiating ability
- Excellent drafting skills and business judgement
- Ability to reason, apply logic, make autonomous decisions and work with strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently while contributing to cross-functional teams
- J.D. and approximately 4 -7 years of relevant in-house or law firm experience
- California Bar membership
