Role Overview
- Monitor installations and repairs of refractory linings, assessing whether the work follows technical guidelines and recording the application according to defined technical procedures;
- Oversee testing of new applications, evaluating the performance under the new condition and preparing reports to support decisions on whether to continue the operation;
- Monitor refractory performance to advise the customer on potential process impacts to the installations, as well as to ensure overall performance, availability and service life of the equipment;
- Perform failure analysis of equipment and refractories together with the team and the customer, recommending solutions and alternatives to resolve issues and restore appropriate performance standards.
Requirements
- University degree (completed)
- Experience with refractories
- Experience with product application
- Experience in steelmaking, reduction, rolling, mechanical maintenance and cement kiln operations
- MS Office
- Availability for travel
