About this role
Role Overview
Calculate manual rates by manipulating data and determining proper class setup
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines
Set up folders and files for new quotes and dispatch to the correct region
Analyze information to complete quotes
Prepare experience analyses on benefits (Life, Long-Term Disability, Short-Term Disability, Health, and Dental)
Calculate average billed rates
Review results and provide summaries to Underwriters
Assist Underwriters in the quoting process
Initiate process improvements and work on projects to streamline processes
Requirements
Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Curiosity and inquisitiveness
Love for math
Excellent interpersonal skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail and precision in calculations
Understanding of customer-first approach
Willingness to work towards GBA or full CEBS designation
Experience and knowledge of group benefit products
Extensive knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of Group Underwriting and benefit pricing is an asset
Reliability status security clearance required after offer acceptance.
