As a UX Designer, you will shape the end-to-end experience of our omni-channel digital products and platforms, helping us build the world’s best pet care platform.
Reporting into the Head of UX, you will translate insight into intuitive journeys that delight customers and colleagues alike, ensuring every interaction feels effortless and accessible.
The role partners closely with Product Owners, UI Designers, Engineers and commercial stakeholders to balance user needs with business objectives.
Success relies on a proactive, resilient approach—embracing ambiguity, adapting to evolving priorities and constructively challenging assumptions to keep user-centred design at the heart of every decision.
Lead UX activity for allocated initiatives, framing problems, defining success metrics and creating wireframes, flows and prototypes that bring ideas to life.
Champion universal usability and accessibility standards, ensuring our experiences are inclusive and compliant from concept through delivery.
Influence design direction by presenting clear, data-backed recommendations that balance customer benefit with commercial impact.
Embed resilience by iterating quickly, learning from feedback and pivoting designs when priorities shift.
Produce high-fidelity prototypes and detailed interaction specifications that enable efficient hand-off to development teams.
Uphold and evolve our UX guidelines, driving consistency in patterns, language and behaviour across platforms.
Support the Senior UX Designer in reviewing peer work, providing constructive critique that raises overall quality.
Proactively spot opportunities to optimise existing journeys, reducing friction and improving performance metrics such as conversion and task completion.
Facilitate workshops and design sprints that align cross-functional teams around user-centred outcomes.
Communicate design rationale clearly and confidently, managing expectations with transparency and empathy.
Nurture a shared understanding of UX principles across the wider business, coaching colleagues to apply best practice in their own domains.
Navigate diverse viewpoints, diplomatically challenging where needed to protect the user voice.
Plan, observe and analyse qualitative and quantitative studies; translate findings into actionable design improvements.
Maintain an up-to-date view of customer needs, pain points and behaviours, ensuring design decisions are evidence-based.
Create artefacts—personas, journey maps, opportunity matrices—that keep insight visible and relevant throughout delivery.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity and emerging technology to inspire innovation.
Operate comfortably within agile squads or project teams, contributing to ceremonies and maintaining momentum through iterative releases.
Measure design impact against agreed KPIs, sharing learnings and celebrating successes to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
