About this role
Role Overview
Work with general guidance and direction from a Project Architect
Support the Project Architect by coordinating with the project team and consultants
Attend meetings with contractors and owners
Support multiple projects at various phases of design and construction
Assists in the planning, organization, and directing of the work throughout the life cycle of the project
Utilizes BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models
Experience with creating construction project documents in all Revit phases
Assists interpreting and applying building codes
Prepares and revises documentation in various architectural phases
Participates in bidding and negotiation phases and prepares addenda
Reviews shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs
Prepares site observation reports and other contract administration tasks
Assists in project coordination and meetings with internal and external team members
Visit project sites with clients as necessary
Assists in the preparation of project specifications
Participate in constructability review
Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects
Assists in ensuring that work conforms to project budget and schedule
Requirements
Master’s degree in Architecture or bachelor’s degree in support of licensure criteria required
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Requisite knowledge and application of accessibility codes, applicable building codes
General understanding of all phases of architectural document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications
General knowledge of building construction systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards
Ability to conduct space planning, block planning and adjacencies in coordination with building program
To develop floor plans, wall sections, and details
To check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule
To participate and collaborate in a project team setting through all phases of architectural document production
To engage in creative and critical thought
To hand sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively
To interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material
To communicate abstract ideas (verbal/written)
Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUP, Newforma, Sefaira and Bluebeam
