About this role
Role Overview
Manage bi-weekly payroll for employees and payments for contractors using Rippling
Ensure accurate payroll processing, including wages, bonuses, reimbursements, and deductions
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements
Coordinate contractor payments and maintain contractor agreements and documentation
Help review offer letters and employment agreements
Ensure onboarding processes are efficient and help oversee those processes
Support off-boarding logistics, including final payroll, documentation, and system access removal
Manage and administer company healthcare, retirement, and additional benefits programs
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and support
Oversee enrollments, changes, and annual benefits renewals
Partner with benefits brokers to maintain competitive and compliant offerings
Support and manage the company’s Rippling HRIS system
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
File required documentation with relevant tax and regulatory agencies
Coordinate and track required compliance trainings (e.g., harassment prevention, workplace policies)
Partner with the recruiting function to support hiring processes
Assist with offer execution for new and existing employees
Maintain HR policies and the employee handbook in partnership with the current HR team
Support performance review cycles and HR documentation
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and HR-related requests
Continuously improve HR processes and systems to support company growth
Requirements
4–7+ years of experience in HR operations, people operations, or HR management
Experience managing payroll for employees and contractors
Experience administering benefits and HR systems (Rippling preferred)
Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR compliance
Exceptional organizational and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization
Experience at a startup, agency, entertainment, or live events company (Preferred)
Experience managing multi-state payroll and compliance (Preferred)
Experience supporting a contractor-heavy organization (Preferred)
