About this role
Role Overview
- Conduct safety visits, audits, and GEMBA walks at customer sites across Europe.
- Assist with the standardization of safety programs to ensure they are established and maintained in alignment with Packsize’s global safety standards.
- Coach and mentor Field Service Engineers on safe work practices including LOTO, machine safeguarding, working at heights, and material handling.
- Lead or support incident and near-miss investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed.
- Develop and maintain task-based risk assessments and standardized safe work procedures (SOPs) for field service activities.
- Serve as the regional point of contact for the Velocity EHS safety management system, ensuring timely reporting of incidents, hazards, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Partner with German Works Councils on safety-related topics, initiatives, and consultation requirements.
- Collaborate with customers and internal leaders to meet site safety expectations and continuously improve performance.
- Support contractor management requirements by developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and partnering with internal stakeholders to obtain and maintain required health and safety documentation.
Requirements
- Fluent in English and German (written and verbal)
- 3+ years of EHS or safety experience supporting field, service, or multi-site operations
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while supporting multiple countries and stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of hazard recognition, risk reduction, and incident investigation
- Ability to influence and coach teams without direct authority
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Europe.
