Role Overview
- Further development of the German tax department
- Leadership of a seven-member team of experienced tax advisors
- Responsibility for the proper fulfillment of all tax obligations
- Ensuring the smooth handling of tax audits
- Managing complex projects in the context of acquisitions and restructurings
- Advising domestic entities on complex tax issues
- Optimizing the tax burden while ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Support for foreign subsidiaries
- Participation in annual financial statements
- Responsibility for determining current and deferred taxes
- Preparation of documentation for external audits
- Monitoring changes in tax law and deriving required measures
- Development of tax policies and group-wide standards
Requirements
- Qualified Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) qualification
- Minimum of ten years' experience, ideally in tax advisory and in large corporate environments
- Sound knowledge of all common tax types under corporate tax law
- Experience in a leadership role
- Enjoyment in shaping and developing teams
- Ideally: involvement in M&A projects
- Experience in tax due diligence and post-merger integration processes
- Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Confident communication skills
- Strong project management competence
