- Produce a consistent flow of publish-ready stories aligned with Benzinga’s editorial and performance standards.
- Pitch multiple story ideas per week tied to breaking news, market trends, earnings, macro developments, and sector catalysts.
- Monitor financial markets, crypto markets, and business news to identify emerging story opportunities.
- Develop clear, compelling headlines that drive engagement and search visibility.
- Follow structured assignment briefs and editorial guidance from the Investing & Cryptocurrency Editor.
- Ensure all content is accurate, well-sourced, compliant, and aligned with journalistic standards.
- Adapt quickly to evolving priorities and breaking news coverage.
- Use internal and external tools to track price movements, sentiment, and news flow.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in financial journalism, business reporting, or market-focused digital publishing.
- Strong understanding of equities, crypto, macroeconomic trends, and trading fundamentals.
- Proven ability to write quickly and accurately under tight deadlines.
- Excellent research, fact-checking, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with SEO and digital publishing best practices.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with editors in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Strong command of financial and investment terminology.
- High attention to detail and commitment to editorial quality.
