Conducting outbound prospecting activities via phone calls and emails to generate new leads
Research and identify potential customers who fit our target market criteria, engaging with leads to assess their needs and qualify them as potential opportunities for the sales team
Update customer relationship management (CRM) software with accurate and timely information on leads and activities, and provide regular updates to the sales team on lead generation activities and pipeline status
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective outreach strategies and campaigns
Follow up with leads to schedule appointments or product demonstrations for the sales team
Continuously improve outreach strategies based on feedback and performance metrics, including reviewing and refining outreach scripts, email templates, and other sales collateral to optimise effectiveness
Participate in sales meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities in lead generation efforts
Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, response rates, and pipeline velocity to evaluate the effectiveness of outbound prospecting efforts
Share best practices and insights with other members of the sales team
Requirements
Previous experience in a Sales Development role is a must-have
Experience either selling a SaaS product or selling to K-12 schools essential
Proficiency using Salesforce
Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential customers
Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
Time management and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A desire to learn and grow in the sales field
