The Application Administrator is responsible for the technical administration, maintenance, and optimization of an organization's software applications.
This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of critical business systems like ERPs, CRMs, and SaaS solutions by performing regular updates, troubleshooting complex issues, and managing user access.
Install, configure, and upgrade server-side and client-side application software.
Proactively monitor application performance, uptime, and logs to prevent or minimize customer impact.
Provide Tier 2/3 support to diagnose and resolve software bugs, system errors, and integration failures.
Administer user security, permissions, and roles within applications to maintain data integrity and compliance.
Write and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and backups.
Requirements
2+ years hands on experience as a System Administrator/Applications Administrator maintaining applications, production uptime, licensing, managing vulnerabilities and addressing upgrade related tasks
2+ years of professional experience maintaining applications using HP ALM and LoadRunner
