Senior Manager, Clean Energy – Innovation

Role Overview

• Develop and execute clean and renewable energy procurement efforts across Equinix's data center portfolio
• Oversee the commercial structuring and negotiation of wholesale and retail energy agreements
• Partner with utilities and technology providers to develop innovative solutions
• Participate in commercial evaluations of near
• or onsite power generation solutions
• Work closely with Public Policy and Government Affairs team to monitor and analyze energy policy and regulation trends

Requirements

• 7+ years in clean energy development or origination, preferably with a data center, utility or IPP
• Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Experience negotiating complex contracts, such as PPAs or BESS tolling agreements
• Experience leading the commercial structuring of wholesale and retail energy supply solutions
• Experience managing external vendor relationships
• Knowledge or experience with power generation technologies such as fuel cells and gas turbines, BESS technologies, demand response and / or other distributed energy resources
