Install, service, maintain, upgrade, and modify electrical and electronic systems
Utilize technical knowledge, existing procedures or develop new procedures along with internal/external resources to diagnose and correct equipment and/or system malfunctions
Modify, test, calibrate, and document system configurations to meet compliance requirements
Utilize various types of computing systems or electronic/electrical test equipment to test accuracy of electronic/electrical components/systems to determine accuracy of equipment
Work with management, engineering, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and other organizations
Service Technicians respond to calls from Central Monitoring Station
Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems
Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic security alarm systems, card access systems, and other related building system products at customer sites
Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, part manuals, and modification notices
Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers equipment such as DMP, LENEL, INOVONICS, etc.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, schematics, and operational product manuals
Perform physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 30 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Requirements
1+ years of experience in support of electrical power systems
Experience working with safety and quality processes and procedures
Able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds; push/pull using up to 45 pounds of force
Current valid driver’s license
Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if required
Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time
3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
