About this role
Role Overview
Build, manage, and deepen relationships with key stakeholders across government, regulatory bodies, industry associations, think tanks, and academia.
Serve as a trusted point of contact for external stakeholders, ensuring consistent and credible engagement on behalf of the organization.
Identify and cultivate strategic alliances that advance the organization's policy priorities.
Lead the organization's engagement with government officials, ministries, and regulatory bodies, serving a primary point of contact for official consultations, policy roundtables.
Prepare and present policy briefs, position papers, consultation responses, and talking points for leadership engagements.
Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments; translate these into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for internal teams.
Serve as the operational point of contact with the industry association, and contribute to joint advocacy projects.
Work closely with legal, compliance, product, and business teams to ensure regulatory readiness and policy-informed decision-making.
Anticipate emerging regulatory risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with external advisors, consultants, and law firms on policy strategy as needed.
Requirements

10 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or regulatory strategy.
Existing and strong relations with key stakeholders in line ministries such as MoF, MoHA, regulators (RBI, SEBI, FIU), and departments, that can be carried over.
Proven track record of advancing policy objectives through networking, stakeholder collaboration and coalition-building.
Demonstrated experience engaging with senior government officials, policymakers, and industry leaders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills — ability to draft compelling position papers, policy briefs, and stakeholder communications.
Resourceful, strong strategic thinking, political acumen, and the ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments.
Postgraduate degree in Law, Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
