Role Overview
Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including technical standards and governmental requirements
Verifies, calibrates and validates gas flow measurement devices and equipment
Analyzes data while collaborating with others to find solutions to technical or operational issues
Adheres to compliance and policies for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
Maintains and troubleshoots orifice, ultrasonic, and Coriolis flow measurement system, analytical equipment for gas and liquid hydrocarbon combustion and communication devices in SCADA system
Carries out moderate to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by leader, analyzing data to resolve issues
Reads and interprets drawings; drafts operations and maintenance procedures
Follows all of our policies and applies appropriate procedures
Coordinates protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
Oversees general knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED; a minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facility
Associates or 2-year technical degree; a minimum six (6) years of multifaceted operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facility
Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
Use hand tools
Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
