Work with Enterprise, Solution, Security, Data, and Integration Architects to define the client’s platform and infrastructure baseline (on-prem, cloud, network, identity, endpoints).
Document current infrastructure landscape – core platforms, environments, key dependencies, and technical risks.
Define target hosting patterns and platform standards (e.g. when to use on-prem vs cloud, multi-tier patterns, shared services, shared platforms).
Design infrastructure views for 1-2 pilot projects going through the new EA workflow, covering environments, connectivity, resilience, and operational model.
Specify and refine non-functional requirements (availability, performance, capacity, backup/restore, DR, monitoring) for solutions and integrations.
Work closely with Security Architects to ensure designs meet security controls (network zoning, identity, encryption, logging) without blocking delivery.
Support IT Operations in aligning platform operations and support (monitoring, patching, incident management) with the target architecture.
Contribute clear, reusable infrastructure patterns and reference diagrams into the EA repository.
Highlight and prioritise infrastructure risks and technical debt that impact projects, and help shape a realistic improvement roadmap.
Explain infrastructure options and constraints clearly to non-infrastructure stakeholders (IT leadership, PMO, business).
Requirements
7+ years’ experience in Infrastructure Architecture, Platform Architecture, or related roles.
Strong experience designing infrastructure for complex environments with a mix of on-prem and cloud, multiple line-of-business systems, and integrations.
Good understanding of core domains such as compute, storage, networking, identity, load balancing, backup/DR, monitoring, and operations.
Hands-on exposure to at least one major cloud platform (e.g. Azure, AWS) and hybrid connectivity patterns.
Able to work closely with Solution, Integration, and Security Architects to ensure designs are coherent and implementable.
Confident discussing trade-offs (cost vs resilience, performance vs complexity) with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills in English and comfortable working in a hybrid model (remote plus occasional on-site visits to Casablanca and/or London).

Benefits
Key role in shaping the technical foundation of a new Enterprise Architecture capability for a major engineering and project-delivery group.
Work in a small, senior team that values clear, practical designs and honest risk discussion.
Hybrid working model – remote by default, with focused on-site trips to run workshops and support pilot projects.
Exposure to Intelance’s broader EA, Cybersecurity, and AI work, with the opportunity to influence platform / infrastructure practices across clients.
Competitive compensation with options for freelance / Ltd company engagement or longer-term collaboration.
Direct access to Intelance leadership and the chance to help shape our platform / infrastructure architecture playbooks and patterns.
