Lead and support client engagements across accounting, finance, and operational functions within credit unions, providing on-site support during system transitions or operational shifts
Perform and troubleshoot accounting reconciliations, identifying root causes and recommending solutions
Support core system conversions from an accounting perspective, including mapping, testing, and validation
Conduct staff assessments, including workflow reviews, skill evaluations, and recommendations for improvement
Provide practical accounting advice and guidance to clients as questions arise
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance required with 2-4 years of experience in a credit union or community bank; OR in lieu of a degree in accounting or finance, 5+ years of experience in a credit union, community bank or financial services environment
Strong understanding of credit union or community bank operations and accounting workflows
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing client-ready deliverables
Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and complex spreadsheet development
Ability to travel for on-site client work as needed
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose operational and accounting issues.
