Junior Head of Legal

Role Overview

• Support in building internal legal structures and developing a scalable legal and compliance function
• Provide legal support for day-to-day business relationships, including drafting and reviewing contracts
• Assist with international partnerships in the eSports and gaming sector
• Provide legal counsel for streams, content production and events
• Draft and review employment and freelancer agreements
• Support with visa and residence matters
• Build pragmatic GDPR-compliant structures for player, partner and community data
• Advise on corporate law matters and coordinate with external law firms.

Requirements

• Law degree (First State Examination) or LL.B./LL.M. with a legal focus
• Initial professional experience (approx. 1–3 years) in a law firm or in-house legal department
• Interest in media, IP, contract or sports law
• Enthusiasm for digital business models, gaming or eSports
• Ability to present legal topics in a clear, accessible way to management, gamers and creators
• Structured and pragmatic working style
• Very good German and English language skills.

• Contract type: permanent (after probation period)
• Compensation: €55,000 – €65,000 per year + bonus / VSOP options
