Manages strategic third-party data supplier relationships.
Participates in highly critical day-to-day operational issues and the resolution of complex issues.
Assists with all aspects of data contracts across the enterprise and negotiates supply agreements with new or improved data sources.
Leads root cause analysis of performance gaps vs. KPI targets.
Develops and communicates gap remediation plans, collaborating with other functions and support groups as necessary.
Understands Strategic Data Sourcing (SDS) process by demonstrating accountability for its performance, tracking any changes to it and ensuring process documentation is current.
Applies critical analysis to implement strategy for onboarding new data assets (source, scope, negotiate), supporting the needs of business unit partners.
Monitors industry trends and directions, suggests new capabilities and adapts to changing needs.
Interacts with business unit partners and/or suppliers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or relevant discipline
3+ years of related experience
Experience working with complex contracts, negotiating with vendors and managing processes within tight timelines
Strong experience in researching and analyzing data vendor options and presenting recommendations that align with data acquisition strategy
Understanding of data acquisition process and procedures
Strong understanding of business unit requirements and impact to overall data supply chain (transformation, data content/quality and fulfillment)
Meeting facilitation skills and ability to present ideas and information in group settings.
