Pastor – Director of Youth Ministry

Role Overview

• Grow SCCAC youth ministry in godly and meaningful ways
• Lead and coordinate effective youth programs: implementing Friday night fellowship, Youth Sunday Schools, discipleship, evangelism/mission opportunities, and other youth ministry-related functions
• Work closely with the coordinator of English worship service
• Preach once every two months or more if possible in English worship service
• Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer youth co-workers with diverse gifts and personalities
• Provide counseling and spiritual direction to youth on an individual basis
• Maintain contact with youth and parents, keeping them informed of ongoing activities
• Keep parents updated on ministry strategies and plans in a way that encourages partnership and involvement
• Oversee the youth ministry budget
• Participate as needed or requested in the evaluation and development of the overall church ministry

Requirements

• A minimum of a college degree
• 1-5 years of volunteer experience in youth ministry
• A commitment to Jesus Christ and to a growing personal relationship with Him
• A commitment for ministering to youth in a Christ-centered way
• A commitment to the State College Chinese Alliance Church and to its beliefs
• A balanced and Christ-honoring Christian lifestyle
