Lead and execute an integrated marketing communications strategy.
Responsible for brand management, content creation, digital marketing, community outreach, grants deliverables and reporting, public relations and performance analysis.
Work cross-functionally with program teams to increase brand awareness and visibility, events and partnerships.
Act as a creativity agent with internal and external stakeholders, providing ideas and solutions to communications and marketing challenges and opportunities.
Manage, execute and support the department’s projects and organizational initiatives with an eye on impact, results, learning and growth.
Create and manage a metrics dashboard to measure team efforts.
Collaborate with the VP and Leadership Team on internal comms projects and needs.
Lead content and execution of internal all-hands meetings.
Proactively use AI tools to enhance results and increase efficiency.
Analyze data from campaigns, events and other efforts to inform the decision making process.
Leverage our CRM to build and cultivate relationships with our stakeholders.
Oversee our website.
Stay on top of SEO/GEO trends and apply them to our daily operations.
Events coordination and assistance in Alameda County as needed.
You’ll manage, mentor and guide the professional development of two team members.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Professional Experience: 5+ years in digital marketing, social media strategy, and media outreach, including at least 2 years of people management experience.
Digital Savvy: Proven track record in content marketing and CRM management (HubSpot experience preferred).
Media Relations: Demonstrated experience working with both traditional media outlets and influencers.
Community Engagement: Deep experience working with underserved and underrepresented populations.
Agile Strategy: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining organized, responsive, and reliable.
Mission-First: A genuine passion for the wellbeing of families, children, and diverse communities.
Creative Problem Solver: An 'out-of-the-box' thinker who is willing to experiment with new ideas to engage varied audiences.
