Role Overview
Team leadership and development
Lead and mentor a diverse technical team of approximately 10 members across Beverages, Savoury, Sweet Goods & Dairy
Resource planning and task prioritization to achieve project objectives
Promote a diverse and inclusive workplace culture
Contribute to the long-term strategy for team development
Responsible for managing laboratory facilities and equipment
Oversee procurement of new equipment and maintenance activities in lab areas
Primary contact for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) matters related to laboratory activities
Prepare and conduct segment meetings to align with Sales and Marketing teams
Analyze and present key performance indicators (KPIs) to management
Technical point of contact for selected customers; build and maintain customer relationships through visits and product presentations
Provide technical advice to Marketing, Sales, Flavour Creation, Application, Sensory and customers across various applications
Guide the local team in developing a long-term roadmap
Requirements
Polytechnic or Bachelor's degree: at least 10+ years of experience in product development, flavor development, production, or a related field preferred
Master's degree (M.Sc.): at least 7+ years of relevant professional experience preferred
Ph.D. (Dr.): at least 4+ years of experience in a relevant technical environment preferred
Experience leading technical teams and developing technical expertise and skills
Ability and experience in nurturing talent and building high-performing teams
Relevant experience in the food and beverage industry with strong market knowledge
Excellent at building and maintaining customer relationships and collaborating with internal teams
Experience executing projects aligned with corporate objectives
Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
Strong at overcoming challenges and driving progress
Proficient in analyzing KPIs to inform decision-making
Business-fluent German and English are mandatory.
