Role Overview
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to LADC/ADC-T Counselors and Interns in a virtual environment
- Oversee LADC/ADC-T Counselors to ensure they provide education, counseling, and treatment to clients
- Audit counselor’s documentation and client records
- Provide direct services for clients and cover caseloads as needed
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide coaching or corrective actions
- Maintain appropriate counselor staffing levels and weekly facilitator schedules
- Confirm adequate hours for indirect services
- Ensure counselors meet billing requirements and maintain communication with stakeholders
- Conduct weekly audits to ensure accuracy and timeliness of clinical charts
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Active LADC License or Temporary Permit (Program Manager Only)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or currently pursuing one
- 12 hours of training in co-occurring mental health problems within 6 months of hire
- 1-3 years of supervisory experience in the field
- Proficiency in using platforms such as Zoom and Teams
- Ability to use EHR (Ritten) and other electronic tools for documentation
- For LADC Supervisor: Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor qualifications
- 3+ years of experience providing individual/group counseling to individuals with substance use disorders
- Understanding the implications of Minnesota Statute 245G
- Free of substance use problems for at least the 2 years preceding hire
- Successfully complete MN Department of Human Services background study
- Demonstrated technology proficiency for documentation, communication, scheduling, treatment services
