About this role
Role Overview
Review and Analyse fraud alerts generated by the OpenPayd fraud monitoring tool.
Assess the fraud alerts for potential suspicious activity, determining the legitimacy of transactions.
Conduct detailed investigations of potential fraudulent activities and suspicious transactions.
Gather and analyse relevant information, including transaction history, customer profiles and external data sources.
Communicate with customers to obtain additional information and clarification on suspicious or fraudulent transactions.
Draft and send Requests for Information (RFIs) in a timely and professional manner.
Assist in preparing reports for senior management and regulatory authorities as required.
Work closely with the product team to enhance fraud monitoring rules and systems.
Provide insights and feedback based on investigation findings to improve the effectiveness of monitoring tools.
Requirements
2+ years anti-fraud and/or transaction monitoring experience in the payments industry
Experience with fraud detection software and tools
Excellent attention to detail, with a strong focus on producing high quality work
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
Knowledge of the payments space and all key players including issuers, acquirers, merchants and networks
Able to work independently and effectively within a team environment
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Relevant certification (e.g., ACFE, ICA) are preferred but not required.
