About this role

Provides a secure and safe environment for patients, visitors, personnel and volunteers.
Patrols and monitors facility premises, observing and reporting suspicious activities.
Responsible for access control, keys, emergency response, and notification.
Renders assistance and security services to staff, physicians, patients, and visitors.
Investigates and documents incidents and liaises with local law enforcement agencies.
Performs building and ground patrols to prevent fire, theft, misuse, and vandalism.
Responds to emergency calls, crowd control, and assists local authorities when needed.
Provides assistance and information to maintain safety and public relations within the facility.

HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
PSO
Proprietary Private Security Officer within 30 days of start date
1 year recent relevant experience
General knowledge of the usual duty requirements of a security officer in a healthcare environment.
Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
Ability to write incident reports and read business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
Ability to manage practical problems in situations with limited standardization.
Ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
