As a Management Accountant you will be joining an existing team of two in an established finance team. We are looking for someone who is keen to develop within their role, with the Management Accountant role offering scope for progression and professional growth.
This role has a transactional focus, and you will be expected to take full ownership of the daily bookkeeping, responding to client/supplier queries, credit control and preparing accounts for month-end. There will also be the opportunity to get involved in plenty of small ad-hoc projects. Responsibilities will include reconciling the bank accounts, processing invoices, closing the monthly accounts, preparing quarterly VAT returns and looking after accounts payable and receivable.
Our Finance Manager will look to you for assistance with month-end accounts preparation and together you will ensure internal processes are maintained effectively. You will also interact closely with our existing and future clients and suppliers. We are very proud of the relationships we have with our customers and you will provide assistance to them on any relevant financial queries.
Requirements
Experienced**You have at least 3 years of relevant experience, either in industry or an accountancy practice.
AAT, CIMA or ACCA qualified.
Preferred
Extensive experience of working with Xero.
Exceptionally organised and process driven**You are naturally organised and can effectively manage your time across a number of continuously evolving priorities. You can work well under pressure and deliver against deadlines.
Excellent eye for detail**You have an unfazeable eye for detail. You make sure to leave no stone unturned and notice the finer details.
Highly motivated**You will be motivated to ensure the high volume of transactions are reconciled in a timely manner and with a high level of accuracy.

Benefits
Salary: £30,000–£34,800 pro rata, based on a £50,000–£58,000 FTE salary.
Schedule: 24 hours per week. We're flexible on how the 24 hours are structured — either across 3 full days or 4–5 hours per day.
