Work in an electromechanical environment essential for product design, part assembly, and detailed part drawings
Prototype, test, and assemble prototypes and samples
Learn and develop skill sets in Product Development, Project Management, Testing/Certification, Tooling Methodologies, Design for eXcellence, and introduction to Embedded Controls and Drivers
Assist in the execution of tactical requests on an as-needed basis
Requirements
Pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Relevant internship or project experience
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Problem-solving capabilities
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Understanding of manufacturing methods such as sheet metal stamping/forming, aluminum die casting, plastics injection molding, and extruding of metals and plastics
Familiarity with typical metal and plastics machining and rapid prototyping processes
Mechanical aptitude suitable for assembling, disassembling, and troubleshooting products using various hand and power tools
Experience in creating detailed drawings and documentation for component and assembly manufacturing using standard drafting practices
Proficient use of 3D/2D CAD (Solidworks preferred), MS Office, etc.
Ability to coordinate testing/evaluation of various products and interpret resulting data
Basic understanding of residential, commercial, and/or industrial construction methods, including electrical wiring of buildings
Basic understanding of electronics design and wiring practices
Ability to communicate verbally and in written form through sketches and engineering drawings
Basic experience in project, timeline, and budget management
Demonstrated experience working and collaborating with cross-functional team members
