About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for the operation, maintenance and fault resolution of the subway's power supply systems.
Supervision of complex rail power supply systems within the subway's electrical infrastructure, including rectifier stations.
Take on operational management of complex traction power systems for subway and tram, and manage demanding design, planning and site-supervision tasks.
Conduct negotiations with internal specialist departments and external contractors, prepare tender documents, and support both the awarding and implementation of projects.
Plan and perform short-circuit tests in traction power and energy supply networks as proof of short-circuit safety, coordinating with the relevant authorities.
Independently handle complex technical issues related to the construction, commissioning, operation, routine testing and fault rectification of protection-system components.
Requirements
Degree* in energy engineering or electrical engineering, or equivalent skills and knowledge acquired through many years of professional experience.
Business-fluent German (C2 level) required.
Initial experience working with electrical installations across different voltage levels, such as low-voltage, high-voltage and DC systems.
Interest in obtaining switching authorization for subway and tram power supply installations — or already holding this qualification.
Willingness to work night shifts on a two
to three-week rotation.
Class B driving license.
