Research and interpret accounting literature (U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations) to support appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions
Lead or support the implementation of new accounting standards
Assist in the preparation of technical accounting memos and whitepapers
Provide technical accounting guidance on M&A transactions, debt and equity financing, leases, revenue recognition, and other non-routine transactions
Collaborate with external auditors and facilitate the audit process for areas requiring technical expertise
Monitor and communicate changes in accounting standards and evaluate their impact on the organization
Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
Provide training and support to the broader accounting team on technical topics
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
3+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm preferred) and/or industry experience in a technical accounting role
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
Demonstrated experience preparing technical accounting memos and implementing new accounting standards
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience with accounting in a public company or within a high-growth organization preferred
Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools preferred
