You will be the primary contact for social dialogue within the subsidiary, operating in a demanding and highly unionized environment. In this role you will:
Prepare for and participate in meetings with social partners and various committees.
Draft meeting minutes and ensure follow-up on action plans.
Take part in the preparation of collective bargaining, in close collaboration with Group HR.
Ensure proper implementation of applicable agreements, working closely with HR Business Partners and operational teams.
Manage health, safety and working conditions issues in coordination with the CSSCT (Health, Safety and Working Conditions Committee), prevention officers, occupational health services and managers.
Organize employee representative elections.
Contribute to a complete overhaul of the company’s social framework.
Ensure alignment between commitments, applicable regulations, corporate strategy and operational constraints.
Provide legal expertise in labor law (individual and collective employment relations) on sensitive or complex cases.
Participate in handling disciplinary matters and cases of unfitness/incapacity.
Provide legal support for company projects.
Monitor developments in social/ labor law.
Manage pre-litigation and litigation files in coordination with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
Analyze root causes and help implement preventive action plans.
Support the company’s social transformation by translating transformation projects into social action plans.
Requirements
Education: Master’s degree (Bac+5) specialized in labor/social law (Master 2 in Labor Law, Social Law or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in labor law, acquired in one or more of the following:
o A law firm,
o A corporate legal department,
o An employers’ organization,
o And/or HR roles with a strong employee relations component.
Experience in a highly unionized context and/or large-scale transformation (reorganizations, transfers, rewriting of the social framework) is particularly valued.
Deep knowledge of labor law, both individual and collective relations.
Strong understanding of social dialogue management and employee representative bodies.
Ability to manage litigation and pre-litigation cases.
Proven track record in collective bargaining in demanding social environments.
