Maintain and execute project controls functions, including daily docketing and daily cost reporting
Support cost to date, forecast cost to complete, commitments, accruals and variance analysis reporting
Ensure all project controls activities are undertaken in accordance with John Holland policies and procedures
Maintain established project controls systems and processes, escalating issues and improvement opportunities to senior project controls or commercial staff.
Collaborate closely with project delivery, commercial and finance teams to collect, verify, and analyse cost data
Support preparation of monthly project reporting including cost performance, trends, and risks
Conduct routine checks and reconciliations of docket and cost data to ensure completeness and accuracy
Assist in maintaining digital daily costing systems (e.g., Synchro Perform), supporting users in correct application of digital dockets, site diaries, and progress capture
Liaise with project stakeholders, including sub-contractors and workforce
Provide clear, timely cost-related information to project teams to support decision-making and performance tracking
Contribute to benchmarking, lessons learned and historical cost data collection to support future planning
Identify and communicate emerging cost issues early and support development of corrective actions
Requirements
Tertiary qualification, preferably in one of the following disciplines
2-5 years of relevant experience in Construction, Engineering, Commercial Project / Cost Control and Earned Value analysis
Multi-disciplined Commercial Project/Cost Control experience ideally for Major Projects
Intermediate proficiency in relevant software packages such as Microsoft Suite (including Excel) and Project / Cost Control and Earned Value systems
Experience with earned value concepts advantageous but not essential
Exposure to digital daily costing tools (e.g., Synchro Perform, Virtual Super, Docketbook) desirable
