Support and assist in legal and transactional matters, including providing legal support and advice to operational and procurement functions
Draft, negotiate, review, and advise on full spectrum of operational and procurement agreements
Develop and maintain a library of standardized contract templates
Identify, analyze, and communicate contractual risks to relevant business partners
Negotiate and finalize agreements for the procurement of enterprise software and cloud computing services
Ensure all IT contracts comply with relevant data privacy regulations
Manage contracts related to the purchase, lease, or maintenance of corporate hardware
Prepare contracts for the purchase of active pharmaceutical ingredients and specialized laboratory equipment
Manage contractual relationships with financial institutions, audit firms, and key purchasing vendors
Assist as needed with a broad range of legal matters
Requirements
A Juris Doctor Degree or equivalent and admission (or eligibility for admission) to the bar of Canada or at least one U.S. state in good standing (preferably Ohio, New York, and/or New Jersey)
0-3 years’ experience with a top law firm or global pharmaceutical or other life sciences, biomedical, or medical supply company
Strong academic credentials
Ability to be an independent worker and work on projects (both domestic and international) with minimal supervision, balance multiple priorities, and work efficiently and closely with cross-functional groups in a multicultural fast-paced business environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
