Generate and manage a strong top‑of‑funnel pipeline of new business opportunities across the UK.
Hit weekly activity targets, including 5 new BD opportunities/meetings per week.
Research and map target organisations and key stakeholders, building a clear view of structure, decision‑makers and buying journeys.
Conduct detailed company and contact research to tailor outreach and proposals to each client’s specific context and challenges.
Run multi‑channel outbound campaigns using LinkedIn, email tools (e.g. Lemlist or similar), HubSpot/CRM.
Lead consultative, relationship‑driven sales conversations that uncover needs and position our services effectively.
Sell a portfolio of services (e.g. employer branding projects, Future Talent Leaders Program/strategic talent solutions).
Nurture relationships through meetings, events, and regular check‑ins to move opportunities through the funnel.
Work closely with the Head of BD and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to execution.
Track all activity, pipeline, and performance metrics accurately in our CRM.
Requirements
Experience in sales or business development, ideally with proven experience selling business services/ consultancy.
Comfortable operating in both enterprise and start‑up/scale‑up environments.
Proven record of generating new business via outbound efforts and nurturing relationships over time.
Strong research skills: able to map organisations, identify key stakeholders, and quickly understand industry and company dynamics.
Confident using LinkedIn, outbound tools (e.g. Lemlist or similar), HubSpot (or other CRM) and the phone as core parts of your toolkit.
Naturally consultative, relationship‑oriented seller who enjoys problem‑solving with clients rather than pushing a generic product.
Self‑starter who thrives in a scrappy, fast‑moving environment and is comfortable with accountability for clear commercial targets.
