Own the content strategy and roadmap, translating SEO goals and client objectives into a structured, prioritized content plan.
You'll manage and mentor 1–2 writers, providing editorial guidance and quality control while staying hands-on with high-impact writing yourself.
Day to day, you'll collaborate with SEO strategists, editors, and internal teams to ensure content consistently drives organic performance across blogs, web copy, landing pages, and marketing assets.
Develop and manage the content calendar and roadmap in alignment with SEO and business priorities
Manage and coach 1–2 writers, reviewing drafts and providing structured, constructive feedback
Write and edit high-quality, SEO-optimized content (blogs, web copy, landing pages, product descriptions)
Apply on-page SEO best practices including semantic structure, NLP optimization, internal linking, and search intent alignment
Partner with SEO strategists to identify content gaps and opportunities
Maintain and enforce content quality standards across the team
Leverage AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Claude) and SEO tools to improve production efficiency without sacrificing quality
Requirements
4–6+ years of experience writing SEO-optimized content, with at least 1 year in a lead, senior, or editorial oversight capacity
Demonstrated ability to develop content strategies and/or manage content roadmaps
Deep knowledge of on-page SEO, semantic SEO, and NLP principles
Strong editorial instincts — you can improve a draft quickly and explain why
Experience managing or mentoring other writers
Excellent research, fact-checking, and brand voice adaptation skills
Proficiency with AI content tools and SEO platforms (e.g., Search Atlas, Surfer, Clearscope, or similar)
Ability to balance strategic thinking with high-quality, hands-on execution
