Assist with the preparation of the interim and annual external financial reporting, including the annual report
Drafting of technical accounting papers including IFRS 15, IFRS 9 and IFRS 16
Operational responsibility for overseas European entities
Liaise with the finance teams of the UK and overseas subsidiaries and take responsibility for the monthly intercompany reconciliation including the management of the intercompany and transfer pricing recharges and settlement
Take responsibility for the accounting of share-based payments across the Group
Assist with the preparation the monthly group results and finance board report
Take the lead on facilitating the year-end audit process
Review existing processes around reporting with the goal of improving procedures and enhancing automation to improve efficiency whilst ensuring accuracy and consistency
Providing support in other areas of the Finance Team
Ad-hoc projects and duties as guided by your line manager
Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA)
Experience in technical financial accounting (in practice or industry) with up-to-date IFRS accounting knowledge
Experience of acquisition accounting under IFRS 3
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to respond appropriately to time-sensitive requests
A working knowledge of multicurrency consolidations and further exposure to an industry environment
Knowledge of share-based payments
Microsoft Excel skills and experience of other data manipulation tools are essential as is a high standard of accuracy
Excellent organisation and planning skills plus a high level of efficiency, happy to be given project work and see it through to completion with minimal of assistance
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Workday Adaptive Planning and Power BI would be a distinct advantage
