Maintain and support all system updates for Norfolk County computer equipment.
Create, maintain and support workstation network group policies and Intune policies for user and device management.
Responsible for maintaining backup configurations and ensuring backup compliance.
Monitoring of our security systems, and coordination with our remote SIEM vendor.
The roll-out of software and updates to software to the workstation using network deployment tools.
Responsible for maintaining and supporting all Norfolk County firewall configuration including web filter, spyware, and spam.
Responsible for maintaining and supporting workstation endpoint protection.
Coordinate with Operations to support network switching equipment and wireless access points.
Planning, ordering, installing, monitoring and reviewing contracted work by outside agencies.
Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to information technology.
Provide backup support for all information technology functions.
Promote effective and appropriate use of information technology.
Provide progress reports at meetings.
Keep current on changes and innovative technology developments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Grade 12 plus an additional three (3) year College program including co-op, in computer science or technology studies, or equivalent, including additional one (1) year Ontario College Graduate certificate in cyber-security related program
Junior I.T. Security Analyst
Over three (3) years of experience to be familiar with scope of position, or equivalent previous experience
I.T. Security Analyst
Over five (5) years of experience to be familiar with scope of position, or equivalent previous experience
Valid Ontario G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle including the ability to provide a drivers abstract when requested during the recruitment process.
Ability to make decisions regarding systems in fast paced environment
Must be aware of safe work practices as they relate to job responsibilities and work environment, and have the basic understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Computer expertise in managing remote systems including the deployment of operating systems and application updates through mobile devices management (MDM) platforms to maintain security and compliance.
Expertise in network and wireless security, with hands-on experience in configuring and managing firewall and network security equipment.
