Develop and maintain internal and external documents, including white papers, case studies, project descriptions, and best practice guides.
Write, edit, and format technical content for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Ensure proposals effectively communicate the company’s value proposition, capabilities, and experience.
Work closely with the Pursuit Analyst and Business Development teams to gather and structure proposal content.
Translate complex technical information into reader-friendly content for clients, stakeholders, and non-technical audiences.
Standardize and improve document templates, ensuring consistency in formatting, tone, and branding.
Assist in the creation of marketing collateral, such as brochures, presentations, website content, whitepapers and thought leadership articles.
Support executive leadership with written materials for industry conferences, public speaking engagements, and client meetings.
Collaborate with graphic designers and marketing teams to enhance visual appeal and engagement of written materials.
Maintain a library of proposal content, past project descriptions, resumes, and company qualifications for future use.
Organize and update industry-specific terminology, writing guidelines, and reference materials.
Implement version control processes to track document updates and ensure consistency.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Journalism, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in technical writing, proposal writing, or business communications within the engineering, construction, or infrastructure industry.
Knowledge of government procurement processes, construction contracts, and industry regulations.
Experience working in A/E/C (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) proposals.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
Strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with proposal management software (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint) is a plus.
Familiarity with APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) best practices is preferred.
