About this role

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
Assist with preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
Develop internal financial reports for program and administrative leadership
Oversee Accounts Receivable (grants and housing)
Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to financial policies and procedures
Lead annual budgeting process across administrative departments
Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets and forecasts using Vena
Conduct financial forecasting and scenario analysis
Partner with program leaders to monitor budget vs. actual performance
Create automated reports and dashboards for leadership
Oversee Grant Compliance team to ensure compliance with grant agreements, donor restrictions, and reporting requirements
Foster a collaborative, results-driven team environment

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
5+ years of progressive accounting and budgeting experience
3+ years of supervisory or management experience
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Experience with budgeting systems (e.g., Vena) and accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Paylocity)
Solid understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial audiences
