About this role
Role Overview
Oversee daily operations of three shelter programs, ensuring safe, effective, and client-centered service delivery
Develop, implement, and evaluate program strategies aligned with agency mission and contract requirements
Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability
Monitor expenditures, contracts, and funding requirements
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including housing and social service standards
Directly supervise program managers, supervisors, and frontline staff
Support professional development and leadership growth within the team
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with housing providers, healthcare organizations, and social service networks
Represent Good Shepherd Center at community meetings, coalitions, and public events
Participate in grant development, fundraising efforts, and contract management
Ensure services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and equitable
Requirements
Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field
5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in social services or homeless programs
Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or related licensure (preferred but not required)
Strong understanding of homeless services systems, trauma-informed care, government contract and budget management.
Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities effectively
Knowledge of HMIS (Homeless Management Information System)
Experience working with women, children, and survivors of trauma or domestic violence
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting platforms
