About this role
Role Overview
As a Business Analyst with a banking focus, you will work on demanding projects for our clients in the banking and financial services sector.
You understand business processes, regulatory requirements and bank-specific interrelationships and, together with IT and project teams, translate them into implementable solutions.
You act as the central interface between business units, IT, project management and external partners and advise our clients throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Contribute professionally to complex projects in the banking and financial services environment
Analyze, structure and document banking-related requirements
Work closely with business departments
Prepare functional specifications, process descriptions, use cases and decision papers
Elicit requirements and document them using user stories
Assess regulatory and business requirements (e.g. MaRisk, BAIT, BCBS, regulatory reporting)
Translate business requirements into IT-oriented specifications
Take responsibility for functional sub-areas or work packages within projects
Support test and acceptance processes from a business perspective
Advise our clients on optimizing processes.
Requirements
Completed university degree or comparable qualification in business, banking, business informatics or financial services
At least 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, functional consultant or consultant in the banking sector
Very good banking expertise, e.g. in one or more of the following areas:
Credit business (retail / corporate)
Payments
Securities and custody operations
Risk management or regulatory reporting
Experience in capturing and modelling business requirements
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and banking supervisory rules
Experience working with IT teams and project management
Ideally, experience with banking standard applications or SAP
Experience with classical and/or agile project methodologies
Analytical, structured working style and a strong quality awareness
Strong communication and consulting skills
Excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
