Senior User Researcher

Role Overview

• End-to-end research ownership: You independently plan, lead, and execute complex research projects — from exploratory phases through usability testing.
• Distilling insights: You are a master at extracting the "gold nuggets" from raw data and observations.
• Strategic sparring partner: You work closely with the product team to validate hypotheses.
• Methodological excellence & advisory: You establish high standards for research methodologies within the team.
• Hands-on field testing: You validate prototypes under real-world conditions and provide insights into the context-dependence of safety.

Requirements

• Solid experience: You have at least 5 years of professional experience in user research for digital products, ideally in environments that demand high levels of empathy and trust (e.g., health tech, safety, fintech).
• Methodological depth: You are proficient across the full repertoire of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Analytical acuity: You can identify complex behavioral patterns and translate them into clear, understandable models (e.g., personas, jobs-to-be-done, journey maps) without losing important nuances.
• Pragmatism & implementation focus: You're not an ivory-tower theoretician. You understand startup velocity and deliver "lean insights" that are precise enough for informed decisions yet fast enough for the next sprint.
• Strong communicator: You can present your findings passionately and convincingly — in both German and English.
