Responsible for managing the entire investment life cycle process — from sourcing to closing
Drive value creation initiatives and transformation projects within Haniel’s portfolio companies
Collaborate closely with Operating Partners, Haniel experts and C-level and portfolio management teams
Support the Value Creation Plans of portfolio companies and monitor implementation and strategy deployment
Leverage analytical experience to identify and solve problems and to support value creation initiatives
Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities
Lead complex transaction processes end-to-end, coordinating internal and external stakeholders and advisors
Perform detailed operational and financial modeling and valuation analyses
Review monthly and quarterly financial and non-financial KPIs to support portfolio company executives in operational decision-making
Requirements
University degree in business, economics, or related quantitative disciplines
8–10 years of relevant professional experience in strategy consulting, private equity, family equity, or comparable roles (e.g., Corporate M&A, Corporate Development)
Proven track record in developing and implementing business strategies, including strategy design, growth acceleration, operational and financial performance improvement, and inorganic growth / buy-and-build initiatives
Deep understanding of business models, competitive dynamics, and market structures; experienced in structuring and analyzing complex and ambiguous situations
Strong ability to distill complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders
Solid experience in M&A processes, valuation, financial modelling, and commercial/financial due diligence (ideally with end-to-end ownership of workstreams)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in preparing decision-grade materials and engaging with top management and external advisors
Hands-on, analytically strong, self-driven, and resilient under pressure; able to manage multiple complex workstreams in parallel
Empathetic and collaborative mindset; demonstrated experience in leading small teams or workstreams and managing senior stakeholder relationships
Fluency in German and English
