Role Overview
Provide leadership and end-to-end oversight of admissions, enrollment, and matriculation for the LLM, SJD, and international exchange programs.
Serve as a strategic partner to the Associate Dean for International Studies by analyzing admissions data, identifying trends, and preparing reports with clear recommendations.
Oversee visa coordination and regulatory compliance for all incoming international students, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to university and federal requirements.
Collaborate closely with academic, financial, student affairs, and university partners to support student success from admission through graduation.
Guide the administration of international academic programs, including certificates, research requirements, and degree compliance tracking.
Represent Duke Law in global recruitment and professional settings, including international travel, partnerships, and engagement with alumni, agencies, and prospective students.
Provide operational leadership for international orientations, signature events, and graduation activities.
Contribute to the management of International Studies budgets and financial records.
Support effective office operations and oversight of staff and daily functions as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least three years of experience in admissions, student services, international education, or a related higher-education setting.
Experience supporting graduate or professional programs, preferably with international students.
Familiarity with international admissions processes and student visa coordination, or the ability to quickly develop expertise.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across cultures.
High attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Comfort working with data, reports, and admissions-related technology platforms.
Collaborative, service-oriented approach and adaptability to evolving program needs.
