Role Overview
- Oversee 10 payrolls across APAC
- Act as the subject matter expert for Indian and APAC payroll operations
- Manage and mentor a team of three payroll professionals located in India
- Develop and implement WBD’s payroll strategy
- Oversee relationships with global payroll providers for the APAC region
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for optimization
- Serve as the escalation point for payroll issues
- Support stakeholders with timely data for general ledger activities
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements
- Design and lead multiple projects
- Partner with P&C, Legal, Benefits, Global Mobility, and Technology teams
Requirements
- 10-15 years in payroll service delivery
- deep operational and technical knowledge of payroll taxes and benefits across APAC, with a focus on India
- 7+ years of team management experience
- strong background in APAC payrolls, with a focus on Indian payroll operations
- experience in entertainment sectors preferred
- familiarity with SAP, Safeguard/Deel, and Workday HCM is a plus
- ability to think strategically
- excellent English written and verbal communication
- skilled at partnering with senior executives and cross-functional teams
- self-motivated, with a strong work ethic
