About this role
Role Overview
- Supports the Acquisition Program Manager (APM) in assessing programs within schedule and cost baselines.
- Staffs Defense Acquisition Executive Summaries (DAES), Monthly Activity Reports (MAR), and support program management and IMP/IMS reviews.
- Oversees the allocation of resources based on program requirements.
- Manages meetings, calendars, agendas, and briefings, including providing program status briefings to senior management.
- Determines requirements; develops goals and objectives to accomplish program missions.
- Gather, analyze, and measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition, sustainment, or modification programs.
- Monitors, mentors, and develops lower-level Acquisition Support Specialists and other contractor support personnel.
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen
- Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- 12 years of experience with DoD acquisition programs
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management
- Demonstrated ability to plan, research, analyze, and assess system acquisition
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite software and project management/scheduling applications such as MS Project
