About this role
Role Overview
Ensure accurate processing and recording of payroll
Provide timely and accurate financial information
Participate in daily payroll data entry processing
Review timesheets for compliance with APA’s policy and FLSA
Ensure employee payroll records are updated and maintained
Handle new hires, terminations, rehires, promotions, changes to employee benefits, and salary adjustments
Process requests for bonus and other supplemental payments
Reconcile all general ledger payroll accounts monthly and resolve discrepancies
Communicate timely with APA staff regarding payroll announcements
Requirements
Bachelors in Business Administration or another business discipline
6+ years of progressive experience in accounting
3-5 years directly working with an automated payroll system
Solid understanding of accounting and business knowledge
Effective communication and writing skills
Excellent problem solving/judgment skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Preferred: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification)
Experience with UltiPro preferred
