About this role
Role Overview
Research, address, and consult on technical issues specific to IRS practice and procedural issues
Represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”)
Prepare written communications to the IRS regarding penalty abatement requests
Working on the IRS account issues, corrections and reconciliations
Prepare Private Letter Ruling Requests
Work with other specialty groups on issues that intersect with other technical matters
Participate in firm trainings
Manage multiple projects in fast-paced and collaborative environment
Mentor staff and provide on the job training and supervision
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university
Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA or Licensed attorney or Enrolled Agent
Minimum of five years of Tax experience with deep understanding and experience in IRS practice and procedures, and IRS Controversy
Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to office regularly and client sites as needed
Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrates experience working collaboratively with others and managing a team to achieve operational or project goals
Knowledge and experience with BBA Partnership Audit Regime
