Develop research strategy, and manage the organization’s research agenda aligned with program priorities, donor requirements, and national/global development frameworks
Lead the design of research and thematic studies, operational research
Ensure research designs meet high methodological and ethical standards
Oversee research implementation, including development of Terms of Reference (ToR), research protocols, data collection tools, sampling strategies, and analysis plans
Provide technical oversight and mentoring to internal teams, consultants, and research partners
Ensure compliance with research ethics, informed consent procedures, and data protection standards
Lead the development and review of research-based publications, including research reports & publications
Ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency of messaging across all publications
Manage internal and external review processes prior to publication
Develop and implement dissemination strategies tailored to different audiences (internal national/global teams, government stakeholders, donors, academia, and the public)
Requirements
Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics, Development Studies, or a related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in applied research, or publication management in development, NGO, or academic settings
Proven experience leading research studies and producing high-quality publications
Strong understanding of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research
Strong competencies in quantitative and qualitative research design and analysis
Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
Experience working with NGOs, development partners, or government institutions
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights
Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality and ethic
