The provision of specialist legal advice to enable the University to operate compliantly within the OfS Regulatory Framework and in accordance with all OfS guidance.
Leading on advice and strengthening regulatory compliance in areas of relevance to the University including consumer protection law, charity law, data protection law, freedom of information law and equality law.
Requirements
Fully qualified solicitor or barrister qualified to practise in England
Sufficient post qualification experience to supervise others in the provision of legal services and evidence of continuing professional development
Knowledge and experience of providing legal advice in or to a regulated sector (Higher Education experience is desirable but not essential)
Significant knowledge and experience of advising on regulatory compliance including one or more of the following relevant specialist areas consumer law, data protection, public and regulatory law, charity law, equality law
